Western State College Summer CampsWestern State College of Colorado is hosting Summer Academic Enrichment Camps beginning in June, 2012. Computer Camp, Boston Brass Music Camp, Environmental Leadership Camp, Exercise and Sport Science Camp, and Mathematics Camp are all included in this Summer Enrichment Program. 2012 Boys StateHigh school juniors are invited to apply for the 2012 American Legion Colorado Boys State program. In this hands-on learning experience they perform all aspects of governing from city, county to state level as they negotiate political party platforms, campaign for office, elect officials, debate bills to enact as legislation and interact with boys from all across Colorado. Tuition for attending Colorado American Legion Boys State is paid by local American Legion Posts. Participating boys earn college credits and can apply for college scholarships. Applications are available online at www.CoLegionBoysState.org.
Summer School 2012Windsor High School will be offering the Extended Credit Recovery Program again this year. This is for students who have failed a class and need to make up the credit in order to graduate. The application can be found on the right hand side of this page. The cost is $150 per 2-hour session. Out of district students will pay $200 per 2-hour session. Free or reduced lunch students will pay $100 per 2-hour session.
Dates for Summer School: June 4th to June 29th Applications must be returned to the Counseling Office by May 21st. Full payment is due by May 25th. Reading Skills and Speed Reading ProgramsRegis University is offering summer reading skills and speed reading programs in Fort Collins and Greeley. Junior Parent Night
Dear Parent:
You are invited to attend an informational session for parents of college bound juniors. Please plan to come to this session if your son/daughter is planning to attend college or if you have an interest in this topic.
The session will cover college admissions, A.C.T./S.A.T. entrance examination, academic requirements for Colorado colleges, and financial aid information.
The scheduled date is Wednesday, October 12, 2011. The session will be held in the Windsor High School Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. If you have not attended one of these parent sessions in the past, we would encourage you to attend this fall. If this date is not convenient for you, we would be glad to make an appointment to meet with you individually. Our complete presentation will also be available on our website beginning on October 13th. Please call 686-8121 to make an appointment if necessary.

PVREA Washington Youth Tour and Cooperative Youth Leadership CampPoudre Valley REA will sponsor one all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. and two all expense paid trips to the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp near Steamboat Springs for selected juniors from this area.
